Synopsis
The Dragon Crisis has concluded. The Dragonborn hunted down the remaining Dragons and devoured their souls before disapppearing into the realm of history. And for a short while, the world rejoiced. The civil war in Skyrim seemed to have stalled in recognition of the time of peace. There was partying, celebrations and happiness throughout the world. But like all things in Tamriel, it didn't last long.
4 months previous to this day, Emperor Titus Mede II was murdered during a visit to Skyrim, apparently killed by some Dark Brotherhood plot. When news reached out to the entirety of Tamriel, panic and anger spread quickly. The Stormcloaks, seeing the moral of the Empire crippled, marched onto Whiterun and are currently beseiging the city. Riots and protests sprung up all throughout the Imperial controlled provinces, demanding answers from the Elder Council and High Rock citizens demanding secession. And the rest of Tamriel lies in fear of what the Dominion might do now that the Empire is on the brink of falling.
It seems for the moment that the Dominion is resigned to watching the fighting and rebellions from the side. But there's rumors stirring, that the Dominion is planning something. Something big. Evil...
But that's the least of your concerns. For right now, you are waking up on to the swaying floorboards and creaking wood that may give the faint of heart sea-sickness. You don't where you are, or where you're going, but the chains wrapped around your feet and legs, anchoring you to the walls, may give you a good indication.
Rules:
1. You can have as many characters as you want but try not to go overboard, only create as many as you can handle.
2. Take this seriously. No messing around!: If you find yourself bored, then write a flashback or a dream sequence and develop your character and if you can’t be bothered doing that, then go away and do something else for a bit.
Do not annoy others, simply because you are bored.
3. You can not kill or maim (remove the limbs off of) other player characters, without the creator’s permission. You can if they agree to it, or if the contributor has left the RP some time ago.
4. You are not any of the TeS protagonists as their names, races and pasts are unknown. You can hint towards it if you like but it'll only be the case in your head.
·5. You can not be a Divine or a Daedric prince or any over powered super race.
6. You cannot be overpowered: By this I mean…
No avoiding damage or ignoring it: You take hits, just like you dish them out. You may block or dodge attacks but one in three musthit you. No ridiculously over powered super-spells: Anything that allows you to destroy powerful enemies in one hit or gives you a majorly unfair advantage over other players and NPCs will be considered over powered. You cannot destroy a building or a settlement in one post: Depending on the building’s size; you must destroy it over the course of several posts. The only exception is during Flashbacks, dream sequences or during written plot pieces (over the course of a paragraph or two).
‘Fridge Magic’ is also considered a form of overpoweredness. Fridge Magic is spontaneous luck, which allows the player to avoid damage or consequence for their actions, where the stars align to always make sure that one character stands tall and is completely invulnerable to whatever is thrown at them. It can be done accidentally, so it’s not treated as harshly, but please undo it if multiple people call you out on it or if the GM calls you out on it.
7. This RP takes place in the year 4E 201 (8 months after Skyrim)
8. Your character can be from any province in Tamriel.
9. You can be any of the nine races. (No modded races, Half Breeds are okay and non vanilla races maybe accepted, so long as their presence makes sense.)
10. You can take control of any NPC (e.g.Toutius Sextius VI), as long as no one else is controlling them at the time. (Also don't go to over the top with powerful NPC's)
11. If you write a piece, you can add the occasional song or track in a link to the RP, use () to state that you are adding a track.
12. You can have Flashbacks: Unless you have arrangements with another player, you cannot interact with another player’s characters in a flashback, you can with NPCs.
13. You can also write dream sequences: In a dream, most rules do not apply but only, because dreams have no bearing on the plot or actual world. Anything that happened in the dream stays in the dream; therefore dreams should only be kept to one or two post.
14. Do not forget to add a Character card…
