The Battle of Skaal was a battle fought in Skaal Village millennia ago between the Skaal people and the Daedric Prince Jyggalag. According to the legend, Olena and Ranar were Skaal twins; Olena grew up to become shaman of the tribe, meanwhile her brother was very open about his distast towards the All-Maker, which eventually led Ranar to be exiled by their father despite Olena begging him not to. In his exile, Ranar found out about the Daedric Prince Jyggalag, of who he would eventually become champion.
