Biornas Cave-Bear was a Nord warrior and a Patriarch of Clan Cave-Bear. He was the father of Sturkas and Bjerna.
Physical appearance[]
Biornas possessed many of the physical traits common among members of his clan - he was big and sturdy, swarthy, and had dark brown hair with brown eyes.
Biography[]
It is said that Biornas was born in the deepest crypts of Bear Mountain where his mother Edit had gone to pray to the shrine built to honor Ursa the Bear-Queen. He would be the sole Heir of the Clan.
As a child he was often beaten by his alcoholic father Bjornvalde, something which rubbed off on the boy as he grew up. His temper was short and he soon started to beat up both clan members and servants.
When his father mysteriously died, after a short time of illness in 4E 139, he was chosen as the new Patriarch.
Biornas was almost infamous because of his short temper and his overreactions. He was known as "the man who wanted to fight everything". Though loyal to his kin, he would often harass clan members of lower status than himself.
Intimidated by the popularity of their ancient and sworn enemies Clan Ghost-Wolf, Biornas challenged their Patriarch Gammelvarg to a duel. Gammelvarg reluctantly accepted the challenge and was thus killed by Biornas' axe.
Biornas, drunk on his victory, later married Ungeld of the Reach, a woman of the Reachmen. She became the mother of his two children Sturkas, born in 4E 150 and Bjerna, born in 4E 152, whom he loved dearly. Though afraid that he would succumb to the rage and violence as his father had done, he dared not to be around for much of their growth.
Biornas eventually died stumbling out of the parapet of the Ursineburg whilst inspecting the brickworks. He was then succeeded by his only son and Heir, Sturkas.
