The Warrior |
Bitvarg the Elder was a Nord warrior and a Patriarch of Clan Ghost-Wolf. He was the father of Varg, Rigvar, Valkyrie, Hemming and Lilja.
Physical appearance[]
Bitvarg has been described as a tall, sinewy man with a stern and stoic appearance. His hair and beard were long and grey and his eyebrows were bushy. He had a pair of steel grey eyes.
Biography[]
Bitvarg was the most well-educated of his brothers Torsdolk and Ulftand, often valuing the contents of a book far more than the edge of a blade. However, he stated that he was never as wise as his two sisters Ylva and Katri.
When the three brothers' father Gammelvarg was killed in a duel against Biornas Cave-Bear 4E 143, Bitvarg ascended to the role as Patriarch of the clan, while his mother Hedvig acted as advisor for as long as she lived.
During his lifetime he sought to mend the hostile relations between Clan Cave-Bear and Clan Ghost-Wolf. Despite advices from his Tutor and his brothers that he should find a suitable mate, Bitvarg remained alone for over 30 years before he found a woman to his liking. He fell in love with the young housemaid Hildi and the couple married shortly after. Despite the age differences Hildi bore Bitvarg five healthy children.
He was later killed along with the majority of his family in the infamous event known as "The Wolf Trap", in which a truce would have been declared between Clan Cave-Bear and Clan Ghost-Wolf. The truce turned out to be an ambush set by Biornas' son Sturkas Cave-Bear, who had payed the bandit tribes of the mountains to eliminate the clan.
He was survived by his daughter Valkyrie and his younger brother Torsdolk.
Personality[]
Bitvarg was remembered as a stoic, stern and stubborn man, who was never afraid to speak his mind. He was, unlike his younger brother Torsdolk, able to keep his nerves calm and gathered even during the most dangerous of situations.
