Songs of Cinder is an Elder Scrolls fan spin-off, written by Kool Khajiit. The story is part of Padomaic Canon.

The plot revolves around a Khajiiti slave who strives to gain freedom, and then, gets involved into an unexpected adventure.

Spoilers ahead - the plot is finished, the story is not, read the following articles at your own risk (unless you don't want to read the story when it's finished).

A spin-off of the fanfic within the same canon, Sorcery of Murky Waters, was released on September 10, 2014 to serve as a hint at Tome Two's upcoming feature.

The story is currently on hiatus, and there is no ETA on the last three chapters of the spin-off.

Tome One consists of ten Books (Chapters). The first Book of the spin-off was published on July 1, 2014, and the complete Tome One was released on August 12, 2014. The events of the first Tome take place during the late Third Era on the island of Vvardenfell, around the time of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and explore some of the themes and elements of those installments.

Tome Two currrently consists of two Books, released on August 21, 2014. The protagonist of Tome One finds himself cast forward to Fourth Era, during the events of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The second Tome takes place on the ashen island of Solstheim, north of mainland Morrowind.
