— Sir Cyrus Troyne to the captured Orc

Sir Cyrus Troyne is a Knight Brother of the Order of the Crows who appears in The Burned Mane Canon.

Biography (Pre-AGOT: High Rock)[]

Born in Sentinel in 4E 190 to the travelling Knight Trenton Troyne and his concubine, a female bard from Stros M'kai named Lira. Cyrus knew very little about his father due to him abandoning his family when Cyrus was only five.

Despite holding resentment towards his father, Cyrus still took his name and followed in his footsteps by becoming a Knight for hire.

His only major employer was a Dunmer member of House Hlaalu, who abhorred the Argonian independence and wanted to re-institute slavery in the region. After several years of murdering, plundering and whoring, Cyrus' group ventured into Black Marsh to take the fight to the enemy.

The initial incursion worked until the An-Xileel sent units of their men to kill them. Only Cyrus escaped, although he was pursued all the way to the Wrothgarian Mountains, where he took sanctuary in exchange for his lifelong servitude as a Knight of the order, something which Cyrus regrets.
