Frigghild Sigurdsdóttir (b. 1E 73) is the owner of Frigghild's Furs in the Market District of Drakefell and the mother of Atbarn and Ykke and she plays a role during the events of "Walking Winter's Woe".

History[]

Backstory[]

Frigghild was born and raised in Drakefell as the second daughter of three children, with her brother being the youngest. Frigghild showed magical promise at a young age, a talent she inherited from her mother, and when she was in her early teens, her mother was personally invited by Shalidor to help establish a formal place for mages to study. Frigghild traveled alongside her mother to the north-east of Saarthal Hold, and in 1E 88, before Frigghild turned 15 years old, the College was formed. Frigghild became an official student there and within a few years, she graduated on Illusion magic.

That same year news reached them that Frigghild's siblings were planning to travel to the new settlement near the College as well, but her brother had died on the way. Her father stayed in Drakefell as the captain of the guard and so only Frigghild's other sister arrived. She blamed Frigghild for his death and their relation worsened in the years after.

This led Frigghild to the decision to leave the College when the Arch-Mage offered her a job as a wizard, and instead she returned home to Drakefell. The years hadn't been kind to her father and the loss of his son didn't help either. He was about to go with retirement, but not before he managed to couple her daughter with one of his favourite guardsman, an Atmoran named Ulmar.

Frigghild was already 26 when they married in 1E 99 and they decided to move in by her father's home, so she could take care for him. Because of her relative old age, it wasn't sure she was still able to get children, but three years later she gave birth to a healthy boy they named Atbarn and in 1E 104 he got a brother named Ykke.

Frigghild spent the next years as a house wife and taking care of her father, until he died in 1E 119. And when her boys got older and started to do mercenary work, there wasn't much left to do for her. So she picked up her magic skills again and opened a stall in the market district where she started to trade in fur.
