Jaden Akrenar

Jaden wearing his Daedric Champion Armor

Biography[]

Born to a poor family, on the 25th of First Seed, just outside Daggerfall in High Rock, Jaden is one of a few Bretons who is as skilled with a blade as he is Mage Fire. He has large muscles, and is never seen without his Daedric Armor, when he has his helmet removed, he has long flowing black hair, darker than his armor. He has very strong connections to an Imperial Leigonnaire, a Vampiress, Allaea, a Bloodfire sellsword, Izra and Ghorbash the Iron-Hand.

Early Life []

He viewed the wrath of a Daedric Prince at a very early stage in his life. A Rogue Dremora killed his mother when his Brother tried to cheat Meridia out of Dawnbreaker, by sending her an undead soul. Meridia then proceeded to disintegrate his brother. As he tried to intervene and save both members of his family, Meridia caused the Dremora to internally explode. This unfortunately caused his eyes to hemmorage, and now they are permenantly fused with some nearby fire salts. This means he can now see through fire, but goes blind whenever the world around him is colder than he is. During his first adventure, he had to deliver some of his families produce to a nearby Orcish Village, this is where a group of Marauders knocked him down and tried to hold him hostage. Ghorbash then proceeded to impale them all, as Ghorbash and Jaden returned to his village, Ghorbash was set upon by a Necromancer, Jaden then, using an unusual technique, decapitated the Mage using a flaming blade from the Necromancer's Staff of Fire. This started a fast friendship between the two, and continued when both entered the Legion, Jaden as a Frontline Battlemage, and Ghorbash as a Foot Soldier. They were going to be seperated, but their Legion Trainer, insisted they be put together to improve their Morale as well as the squad's Morale.

Time in the Legion and Imprisonment[]

The two's camaraderie, won them many fights. However, a pitiful defeat led both of them to leave the Legion after being presumed dead. They were sent to eradicate a group of Daedra worshippers on the Border between Cyrodiil and Hammerfell. It turned out to be a trap, as the building exploded when the team was too far in to escape. Ghorbash left to visit his Brother, Burguk, in Dushnik Yal. Whereas Jaden left to go to Valenwood. Where he met Izra, the family of the necromancer Jaden killed in his early years sent Izra after him, though he didn't know it. After a few weeks in Valenwood during his Archer Training, he began to become suspicious of Izra. That night, she invited him out for some Mead. After getting incredibly drunk, they went back to Jaden's temporary home, where Izra proceeded to seduce and have sex with him. Just as she was about to strike the killing blow, Jaden used a spell to force the axe out of her hand, Jaden, now drained of Magic and Izra, now unarmed proceeded to fight in the forest in their undergarments. They were spotted by the King of Valenwood's Guards and were imprisoned together. After escaping and seperating himself from Izra, they made a Pact to go in opposite directions, and the next time they met would be the first. Jaden was then discovered by a Legion Patrol, and was sent to Helgen, to face excecution for  "Deserting the Legion". At Helgen, he was about to be excecuted, when Alduin arrives. It is unknown what became of him after that until The Eternal Night.

The Eternal Night[]

While the Dragonborn was off defeating Miraak over on Solstheim, forgotten or unheard of by nearly all, was the week later known as the Eternal Night. Azura's Power waned over Nirn, when Miraak was in control of Solstheim, as her connection to her race was severed. As such, the sun never rose. Harkon saw this as a critical opportunity. If he could consolidate power in Solitude, the Volkihars would have a greater chance at dominating Skyrim, and later Tamriel. Jaden solely led the defense of Solitude against Harkon. With both Orthjolf and Vingalmo at his side, Harkon fought against the Daedric Champion, as he'd come to be known. He successfully held off all three until Serana joined him in the fight. Killing Vingalmo, and wounding Orthjolf, Serana was overpowered by her father, just as he was to deliver the killing blow, he looked to see his Sword shatter in Jaden's grip. Jaden then fought to a stalemate with Harkon in his Vampire Lord form. Harkon and his horde of leeches then returned to Castle Volkihar as the sun rose.

Aiding the Dragonborn[]

At the peace summit in High Hrothgar. Jaden was present as the Dragonborn's guest along with Delphine and Esbern. He had secretly infused his heart with that of a still mummified Dragon's. Giving him the gift of the Thu'um. After the summit, he helped the Dragonborn train. Later he told him " After this fight, Faas Dov Thu'um, all Dragons will fear your Thu'um, I feel Krosis, I feel sorrow. This may start the next Dovah Kein, the next Dragon War." After the Dragonborn's return to Nirn, Jaden assisted him in gathering the seven remaining Dragon Priest Masks, knowing of only two, Hevnoraak and Otar. After all seven were gathered. The Dragonborn wore Konahrik, and created his Army of Eight, the eight strongest warriors in Tamriel, aside fom him, and gave them each one of the Priest's Masks to grant them supreme authority, making them inferior only to him and any Jarls, the Army of Eight consisted of Serana, Lydia, Aela the Huntress, Brelyna Maryon, Marcurio, Frea of the Skaal, Argis the Bulwark and Jonis the Sword-Maiden.

Against the Dragonborn and death[]

By the later half of 4E 205 Jaden was becoming increasingly frustrated with the way things were turning. The Stormcloak Rebellion now had a new leader, Ulfric's Son, Wulfharth Stormcloak, who successfully negotiated a peace treaty with the Empire in 4E 202. Skyrim now became Imperial Skyrim and Stormcloak Skyrim, with both co-existing. However, as Wulfharth grew he learned from his father's friends such as the Dragonborn and Galmar Stone-Fist, who, now in his late 80's was too old to fight, so he offered moral support to the Jarl and verbal training for the Stormcloak army. Galmar had never trusted Jaden, due to his previous history with the Empire. So when Stormcloak Skyrim was pre-emptively attacked by combined Dunmer and Argonian armies, when Imperial Skyrim didn't send support, he convinced Wulfharth and the Dragonborn that Jaden was responsible. Jaden then found his 2 old friends, Izra and Ghorbash, and Harkon's sucessor, whom he found to be much more agreeable, Allaea. He attempted to have Ghorbash cause a distraction to some of the stronger male guards, while Izra and Allaea dealt with the weaker males and females. This was so Jaden could sneak into Galmar's quarters and prevent allout war between the newly formed Mournblade Alliance and Stormcloak Skyrim by killing the instigator before he could cause the war, he was too late. Wulfharth was set in his ways, and the Dragonborn was honourbound to accept his judgement. Galmar had died in the night, and war was now inevitable. He went to confront the Jarl, but found the Dragonborn and the Army of Eight waiting for him. It took 6 Years, the lives of Marcurio, Argis, Frea, Jonis, Skald the Elder and Korir, the combined Dunmer/Argonian/Stormcloak Skyrim armies, now the Eastblood Confederacy and a cunning trap using Jarl Elisif, whom Jaden had married after the end of the civil war, as bait. The Dragonborn and Jaden fought in the center of Old Skyrim, in the ruined hall of Dragonsreach, where they'd first met. Only the Dragonborn heard what the Daedric Champion had said to him that day "Dovahkiin, aan kruziik hokoron", Dragonborn an ancient enemy, after a 2 day war, both the Dragonborn and the Daedric Champion were weary from their fight. Jaden knew he couldn't continue for a third day, and so went for a last ditch attempt that would end this war one way or another, he forced the Dragonborn onto his back, grabbed him by the throat and threw him against Balgruuf's old throne. Separated from his weapon the Dragonborn impaled Jaden in the leg with a broken off leg from the throne. They fought hand to hand to the edge of the great porch, as Jaden was now too weak to carry his hefty greatsword. As Jaden was about to push the Dovahkiin over the edge to certain death, he slipped, the Dragonborn fell to his knees and Jaden fell over himself. The last thing he yelled to the Dragonborn as he desperately hung on to an outstreched plateau of the cliff, were "Faal laat krif fah daar dovah, ok laat viik, dahmaan ol hun " The last fight for this dragon, his last defeat, remember me as a hero. He then let go and fell, he saw his family, and old Leigon squadmates waiting for him in the afterlife and the embrace of Sovngarde. At the funeral, it was discovered Elisif had killed herself in her grief. So in accordence with old breton law. They were buried together in Falkreath's cemetary. The Dragonborn had killed one of Tamriel's finest, and as everyone walked away, a single tear rolled down his cheek onto his coffin and then the rain started, as if the gods themselves wept at his loss.
