The Kanir Family is the former royal family of Kaniros, who ruled the city since the second era into the third when the Five-Star Senate was founded.
Description[]
A recurring trait among the Kanir family members is their abnormal height, often standing 170 to 180 cm in height, leading some to believe that Altmer blood runs in their veins, although no Altmer has ever carred the name of Kanir.
History[]
Apart from it being the former Royal Family of Kaniros, relatively little is known apart from certain members of the family being far more powerful than most other Nemer. It was originally created by Kyrenaz Nelthro Kanir, who was the first one to carry the name, his mother and father unknown or lost to the ages. The Kanir Family came to rule Kaniros for most of the second era from 2E 96 until 3E 63 when the Five-Star Senate was formed. Most of the Head family was lost during the followind third era and by the fourth era only the founder of the Kanir Family, the Archbishop Kyrenaz Nelthro Kanir, remained.
