Pearlshade Isle is a large island located in the Sea of Ghosts north-west of Skyrim. As it is located in dangerous waters and cloaked by a perpetual dense fog, Pearlshade has remained unexplored by Tamrielic pioneers for millenia.

Geography[]

Pearlshade is a fairly large island, roughly six times the size of Solstheim, and is situated in a tremendously harsh environment that has made it unexplored and mysterious for many centuries. The coastal waters around the island are plagued with jagged rocks and glaciers, hidden in a thick mist, that make travel to the island nearly impossible for most ships.

The land itself is just as icy and barren, with massive crags and fissures contorting the landscape. Adding to the dangerous terrain are the many dangerous beasts that skulk the region, such as akhlut and ice worms. Strangely enough, the island also features a very contrasting landscape known as the Pearlshade Sanctuary which consists of a lush forest and valley that has served as home to surviving Snow Elves since the end of the Nordic-Falmer war. Through some form of magic, the Sanctuary can only be entered via the cavern known as Wilendor's Gate, leading the Snow Elves to believe that it is, in fact, a magical portal to an Aetherial realm of some kind.
