Ria Silmane was the apprentice of Jagar Tharn, until she was murdered by her Master due to her resistance to his corruption. Death proved not to be the end of her as she managed to keep herself connected to the realm of Mundus and was able to keep a connection with Talin Warhaft II.
Background[]
Little is known about Ria, other than the fact that she was once a powerful mage, powerful enough to receive a tutorship from Jagar Tharn himself. This proved to be her downfall as, upon discovering her Master's plan she went to alert the Elder Council, however, Jagar Tharn had her eliminated to stop her from doing so.
Reign of Chaos[]
Ria is first seen at the very start of Reign of Chaos, she appears to Talin Warhaft II in a dream and informs him of the events that have transpired. She then gives him the key to his cell and all of the other cells and informs him of an escape route before leaving him.
After Talin escapes, she appears to him again, giving him a portal to High Rock and telling him that he needs to re-assemble the Staff of Chaos and that the first piece can be found in the Crypt of Hearts.
28th Midyear 3E 389[]
She appears to Talin, after he finds the seconds staff piece and informs him that the second staff piece is in Skyrim, held in a place known as 'Labarynthian,' though she doesn't know its location. She leaves Talin and his people to find it.
