The Lich Six are a group of necromancers.
Background[]
Founded in the mid-4th Era by an offshoot of the Black Worm Cult, the Lich Six are dedicated not to the worship of Mannimarico, but rather the collection of Black Souls and accumulation of their own power. Each member of the Six is powerful and capable in their own right, usually with niche magical abilities. The group is never stationary and prone to acts of extreme violence both to members and outsiders alike. There is a high rate of turn over and none of the original founders remain. The Lich Six always consists of six or seven members, either including or excluding their leader. When their numbers drop, either through attempted purges by Battlemages or infighting, they quickly seek out powerful sorcerers to replenish their ranks.
The Six's members do not always specialize in resurrection of the dead, but almost always use black magic to some extent. There have at times been non-necromancers and even non-mages among their ranks. Anyone skilled, brutal, and violent enough to survive being a member can join.
